ENGIE Vianeo has been selected by the German Federal Government and Autobahn GmbH to deploy a charging network for electric heavy-duty vehicles along the country\u2019s main logistics corridors. This strategic award confirms the company\u2019s position as a leading player in electric mobility in Europe and strengthens its presence on the German market.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"section_titles_style_secondary wp-block-engie-section-titles\">\n\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"section_titles_title \">A landmark project for European heavy-duty transport<\/h2 >\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of Germany\u2019s national programme for the deployment of charging infrastructure for electric trucks, ENGIE Vianeo will be responsible for the design, construction and operation of 26 charging stations located along the country\u2019s major motorway corridors. The project will include a total of 173 charging points including 105 Megawatt Charging System chargers capable of delivering up to 1,000 kW of power.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"desktop-xs_height tablet-xs_height mobile-xs_height wp-block-engie-block-blank-dividers\">\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p>This infrastructure will form the largest megawatt charging network in the South-East lot of the German federal programme. It will address the growing needs of transport operators committed to electrifying their fleets by offering reduced charging times and maximising vehicle availability for long-distance journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"section_titles_style_secondary wp-block-engie-section-titles\">\n\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"section_titles_title \">Germany, Europe\u2019s logistics hub<\/h2 >\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p>Germany&#8217;s selection is particularly significant. Today, the country is one of Europe\u2019s leading logistics hubs, with nearly one out of every two trucks operating on the continent travelling to or through Germany. At the same time, the electric truck market is experiencing rapid growth, with more than 4,000 electric trucks registered in Germany in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"desktop-xs_height tablet-xs_height mobile-xs_height wp-block-engie-block-blank-dividers\">\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p>Investment in high-performance charging infrastructure is therefore a crucial lever for supporting this transformation of the sector. Through this new contract, ENGIE Vianeo will directly contribute to the development of a network capable of supporting large-scale zero-emission road freight transport.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"section_titles_style_secondary wp-block-engie-section-titles\">\n\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"section_titles_title \">Strengthening Three Strategic European Corridors<\/h2 >\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p>The future charging stations will be deployed along three major corridors of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rhine-Danube;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scandinavia-Mediterranean;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>North Sea-Rhine-Mediterranean.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<section class=\"desktop-xs_height tablet-xs_height mobile-xs_height wp-block-engie-block-blank-dividers\">\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p>These corridors play a central role in European economic exchanges. Their electrification will facilitate long-distance travel for electric trucks while contributing to the reduction of CO\u2082 emissions from road freight transport.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"section_titles_style_secondary wp-block-engie-section-titles\">\n\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"section_titles_title \">Megawatt Charging: A Key Driver of Freight Electrification<\/h2 >\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the project\u2019s distinguishing features is the significant number of megawatt chargers that will be installed. With 105 MCS charging points, ENGIE Vianeo will deploy the largest volume of megawatt charging infrastructure within the German federal programme.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"desktop-xs_height tablet-xs_height mobile-xs_height wp-block-engie-block-blank-dividers\">\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p>This technology is considered essential for the electrification of heavy-duty transport. Capable of delivering up to 1,000 kW of power, MCS chargers significantly reduce charging downtime and enable transport operators to maintain high levels of operational productivity. <a href=\"\/en\/?p=10263\"><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"desktop-xs_height tablet-xs_height mobile-xs_height wp-block-engie-block-blank-dividers\">\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Nicolas Cournu, CEO Europe of ENGIE Vianeo, stated:<\/em><\/strong><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;The electrification of road transport is one of the most powerful levers for decarbonisation in Europe.
