The deployment of the first large-scale public charging network in Wallonia is now underway. On July 1, 2026, ENGIE Vianeo inaugurated its first charging stations in Namur, marking a key milestone in the development of electric mobility across the region. <\/p>\n\n\n

A First Installation in the Heart of Namur<\/h2 >\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Located on Rue Rempart de la Vierge, close to the train station, universities and Louise Marie Park, two charging stations have been commissioned, providing four charging points with a power output of 22 kW.<\/p>\n\n\n

\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n

These facilities allow residents, workers and visitors to conveniently charge their electric vehicles on a daily basis in a strategic and highly frequented area.<\/p>\n\n\n

\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Ultimately, ENGIE Vianeo will operate 25 charging stations in Namur, representing 50 charging points across key locations throughout the city, including the sports center, swimming pool, citadel and major public squares.<\/p>\n\n\n

A Landmark Project for the Whole of Wallonia<\/h2 >\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

This inauguration is the first visible step of a project with regional ambitions. ENGIE Vianeo has secured Wallonia\u2019s first electric vehicle charging concession, with the ambitious goal of deploying 3,165 public charging points by May 2028. <\/p>\n\n\n

\n\t\n<\/section>\n\n\n

The network will cover 242 municipalities, providing a local charging solution tailored to everyday needs, whether at home, at work or during urban journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n

By prioritizing 22 kW charging stations, ENGIE Vianeo is addressing users\u2019 real-world needs by making charging simple, practical and accessible across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n
