Cookies management

1 – What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data that websites store on your browser when you visit them. Cookies are useful because they allow the Site to recognize your visit and collect information about how you use our Site. The Site may use cookies for detecting what kind of device you have in order to present content in the best way, for a language switch and/or for other purposes.

The length of time for which cookies are stored on your browser varies depending on the cookie. Some cookies only last for your online session, whereas others will stay on your browser for a longer period. We aim to set our cookies for no longer than 13 months and are working with our trusted partners to ensure cookies are always set for a reasonable period of time.

Cookies are placed on your terminal as soon as you actively give your consent for those that are non-essential for the functioning of the Site. Trackers will not be installed and read in the following cases:

  • if you reject a tracker;
  • if you click on the link provided in the cookies banner for you to configure cookies and other trackers and, where applicable, reject them.

When cookies require your prior consent before they can be installed, the Company will ask you for such consent.

By continuing your reading, you will be informed about the cookies that are likely to be installed on your terminal, their purpose as well as how to exercise your preferences when these are non-essential cookies.

For more informations on cookies please refer to the CNIL website (in French) : https://www.cnil.fr/fr/cookies-les-outils-pour-les-maitriser.

2 – The cookies we use

Different types of cookies are likely to be used by the Site based on their different purposes. Some of them are strictly necessary for your use of the Site and therefore do not require your consent. On the other hand, non-essential cookies (e.g. advertising cookies, social network cookies, etc.) require your consent. Thus, when you visit our site, a message informs you of the use of cookies (the “cookies banner”) and allows you to express your preferences, or to accept or refuse them globally.

A. STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES

  • Functional cookies

Essential cookies allow you to use the main features of our Site (e.g. access to your account). Without these cookies, you would not be able to use our site normally. These are cookies that are set only for the operation and display of the Site.

Cookies that are essential to the use of the Site are not subject to consent.

B. OPTIONAL COOKIES (NON ESSENTIAL COOKIES)

Optional cookies are subject to your consent. You can choose which categories you’d be happy to use in your cookie settings (‘cookies banner’) when you first visit our Site and make changes at any time by selecting ‘Manage cookie settings’ at the bottom of this page or refer to §3 of this page “How to set your preferences for optional cookies ?”.

  • Share cookies

The social plug-ins (e.g. Facebook’s “content sharing button”) that exist on our Site make it possible to facilitate the sharing of content on different social networks (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) or to send the link by e-mail. When you use these “share buttons”, a link is made with the servers of these social networks and a cookie is eventually installed after if you give your consent. By refusing the cookie, you will not be able to share a publication from the Site on your social network profile.

We invite you to consult the privacy protection policies of these social networks in order to learn about the purposes for which they may use the information they collect through these “share buttons”.

  • Advertising cookies

These cookies may be deposited when you browse the Site, if you expressly accepted. The refusal of these advertising cookies has no impact on the use of the Site.

  • Performance cookies

The Site uses cookies to count and differentiate visits and to limit the number of simultaneous requests. These cookies enable us to compile statistics which we use to measure visitor numbers and improve the ergonomics of the Site. To carry out these various statistical analyses, we use Matomo tags.

You can express your preferences regarding cookies by setting them on our Site. For your information, you can also set the parameters of the cookies deposited on your terminal from your browser.

A. SETTING UP COOKIES FROM OUR SITE

When you visit our site, a message informs you of the use of cookies (the “cookies banner”) and allows you to express your preferences, or to accept or refuse them globally.

Optional cookies can be set on our Site. When you access the Site for the first time, your browser will inform you that cookies are likely to be deposited in your terminal. This information will be visible in a banner. You will then be asked either to accept cookies globally, or to refuse them globally, or to set them according to your preferences.

You can change to your cookie preferences at any time by clicking on the “Cookie Management” icon at the bottom right of the screen. This icon will remain at the bottom right of your screen throughout your browsing on the Site to allow you to change at any time to your cookie preferences.

B. SETTING UP COOKIES FROM YOUR BROWSER

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that if you object to the installation of any cookie, a refusal cookie will be installed on your terminal. This refusal cookie is the basis for taking your wishes into account. If you delete all the cookies stored in your terminal via your browser settings (see below “B. SETTING UP YOUR Browser”), including the refusal cookie, we will no longer know that you have chosen such an option and we will be likely to question you during a subsequent navigation on the Site

You can use your browser settings to delete cookies that have already been set at any time. You can also use your browser settings to manage cookies (optional and functional), for example, to switch off a cookie altogether.
